One year, one camera, one lens, one film (week 25)

Print Friendly

I really enjoyed this week, I pushed myself past my comfort zone and used an off camera flash for both the rolls. It was a huge hurdle for me to overcome the fear of flashing people, but after the first couple of times I realized that a “thank you” or a small comment like “nice glasses” goes a long way. It was my first time out with a flash so I’m a flash virgin, but I do think that a flash has it’s uses in street photography. Although I’m sure that I will not become a religious “flasher”, I did really enjoy the experience and will continue to use flash when the light allows. I have picked my weekly favourites, have a look and see what you think, comments are always welcome. BTW if anyone should be interested all of these where shot at f16, 1/50 sec and the flash set to manual (f16, ISO400).

I’ve always worried about using flash in the street, but here it looks like most people were okay with it. Is that been your experience? Sure produced some good images..lighting is great isn’t it?. well done

Same here, but no problems at all, a simple thank you is usually enough to get a smile afterwards.
